What is FGP?
The Foster Grandparent Program provides a way for volunteers age 55 and over to stay active by serving children and youth in their communities. Volunteers serve at organizations that help children learn to read, provide tutoring, mentor teenagers, and much more! Volunteers serve between 15 and 40 hours per week, receive a stipend, and attend monthly trainings.
Who can be a Foster Grandparent?
Foster Grandparent volunteers are 55 years or older. To be eligible for the stipend, meal and mileage reimbursements, volunteers must meet income requirements. For more information, contact the Foster Grandparent Program at (541) 812-0849.
